Don’t Answer in the Bathroom

NaNoBlogWhatever 18 of 30:

Preface: I have a decently high tolerance for TMI when it’s in the abstract.

So here you go: an article about public bathrooms (that, while I haven’t finished reading it, seems to come from a western slant, but still offers a variety of interesting tidbits).

This post brought to you by the girl who came into the bathroom and made an important, professional*, and international call from another stall, trapping me because I didn’t want to leave without flushing, but I only had to straighten my tights to be done, and I was late for class….

*I think. We didn’t share a language, but thought I caught enough through a couple of words that I did understand. WHO DOES THIS.

Cash for Books

NaNoBlogWhatever 14 of 30:

Yeah, yeah, things are getting shorter; I’m writing these ages in advance, and I’m starting to feel the pinch of time–and the pinch of how little time I’ll have when these go up. Ask me in late December if I survived the semester.

But at the end of the semester, people start to think about selling back their books. I don’t, usually, because if I’m taking the right courses, the books continue to be useful–or the books are so outdated nobody wants them, or because I only need words, I didn’t care about the book’s condition so much.

For non-school books, I hate for them to have to go away, but perhaps you need some of yours to find new homes. One outlet: Powell’s will let you sell them your used books right online!
